My direct student loan is now through the government, and I feel like I am absolutely getting nowhere with them. I have had my loan through them since 2004 and my balance has went from 35000 to 32000. I really need some suggestions of what companies to go through to possibly refinance. My credit score is in the middle area. Thanks for your help.

I just decided to go back to school and i need a student loan. I dont know how they work, do they give the loan to me to pay the school or do they give it directly to the school? I am asking because I need help paying the first 2 weeks of daycare and was wondering if I could borrow more to help me pay daycare too?

I need ,000 for tuition. Chase declined me because I didn’t have a cosigner. Where can I go to get a student loan by myself. I have a very good credit score and am 21 years old. I can’t get financial aid or anything involving th FASFA. Thanks for your help.

My daughter has two very high interest student loans. Her credit won’t let her do anything, but I can "refinance" it with me getting the loan using my credit. But is it still a "student" loan that she can deduct. She is making the payments and her name will be also on the loan (ironically, she will co-sign for me). This seems to be some gray area once the loan gets moved around. Just want to make sure the "chain of custody" still makes the new loan interest tax deductable.
